AP Praxis Studio is founded on a dual commitment: to practise the role of the Authorised Person with clarity, discipline, and professional excellence, and to strengthen the shared understanding of building control within our industry.
Our name reflects this purpose. "AP Praxis" — or "APP" in its quiet professional shorthand — speaks to the thoughtful application of the Buildings Ordinance, expressed through work that is rigorous, compliant, and grounded in sound judgement.
Through exchanging insight across generations and disciplines, we support a more informed and forward‑looking professional community.
AP Praxis Studio was established in 2026 as a specialist practice dedicated to delivering Authorised Person services within Hong Kong's statutory framework. We focus on the full scope of AP responsibilities: planning and design submissions to government authorities, coordination of statutory approvals, development strategy, and land‑related assessments. Our work extends into the technical and construction stages, including site supervision duties, construction arrangement, and the oversight required to ensure that building works proceed in accordance with approved plans and regulatory standards.
In fulfilling these responsibilities, we also act as a coordinating platform — working closely with structural, geotechnical, and other professional disciplines to align statutory requirements with technical execution. This integrated approach supports clearer communication, more coherent submissions, and a smoother regulatory process. Alongside our core practice, we maintain a modest commitment to sharing insight with emerging practitioners, contributing to a more capable and confident professional field while remaining firmly centred on the responsibilities of our role.
Founder
Bruce is an architect and Authorised Person with more than twenty years of experience in complex commercial, retail, hospitality, and mixed‑use developments across Hong Kong and the region. His background in leading multidisciplinary teams and navigating large project environments has shaped a practice grounded in clarity, technical rigour, and steady professional judgement.
At AP Praxis Studio, Bruce focuses on the full spectrum of AP responsibilities — statutory submissions, development strategy, land‑related assessments, construction arrangement, and site supervision duties under the Buildings Ordinance. His approach reflects a balanced understanding of regulatory requirements and the practical realities of building construction.
In addition to his statutory role, Bruce works closely with structural, geotechnical, and other engineering disciplines, supporting coordinated submissions and coherent project delivery. This integrated perspective, informed by decades of design and development experience, underpins the studio’s commitment to disciplined, reliable, and well‑considered AP practice.
